About Me
Furqan Zia was born in Karachi, Pakistan, in 1995. He received the B.E. degree in Electrical Engineering from DHA Suffa University, Pakistan, in 2017, and the M.S. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Antalya Bilim University, Turkey. From 2018 to 2021, he was with the Department of Electrical Engineering, Antalya Bilim University, Turkey, as a Researcher in the WISLAB for wireless research group. He is a recipient of an Industrial Ph.D. funded by VESTEL and TÜBİTAK in the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department at Koç University, Istanbul, Turkey. Currently, he is associated with Communications Research and Innovation Laboratory (CoreLab).
Furqan’s primary research interests include 5G/6G wireless systems, MIMO systems, NOMA, physical layer security, waveform design, and deep learning for communication systems. He is an author of multiple peer-reviewed articles and the inventor of a patent application.

March 2021: Our paper titled "Multi-cell, Multi-user, and Multi-carrier Secure Communication Using Non-Orthogonal Signals’ Superposition with Dual-Transmission for IoT in 6G and Beyond" has been accepted to the RS Open Journal on Innovative Communication Technologies.

Jan 2021: Successfully defended the master thesis at Antalya Bilim University.
